Contiene tutti e due i film Downfall e Aftermath, il primo è doppiato in italiano e le altre lingue di Europa, il secondo invece non è doppiato e non ci sono sottotitoli in italiano ma sono in lingua inglese con sottotitoli in inglese e spagnolo, per chi come me capisce l'inglese non sarà un problema.

Ecco una mini-recensione di "Dead Space - Movie Double Pack [Edizione: Regno Unito]" disponibile in formato Blu-Ray e DVD

Introduzione
Inizialmente allegato come contenuto bonus per l'edizione limitata di Dead Space, il primo film "Downfall" è una sorta di prequel del primo gioco della saga di "Dead Space" (ho detto una sorta di prequel perché si possono notare certe discrepanze tra film e videogioco).
Il secondo film invece, "Aftermath", è ambientato poco dopo gli eventi narrati nel primo gioco ed è una sorta di ibrido d'animazione con la narrazione dei flashback realizzata in 2D ed invece gli eventi attuali mostrati in 3D.

Semplice custodia da doppio Blu-Ray che contiene i 2 film.
La copertina è carina e sul retro ci sono tutte le informazioni necessarie.
Nulla di negativo da segnalare

Livello di Splatter
"Downfall" presenta scene abbastanza ricche di splatter, sangue e smembramenti. I dettagli sono resi in maniera piuttosto ottimale, grazie ad una qualità video piuttosto elevata, che risalta questi effetti... I più sensibili sono avvisati!
In "Aftermath" invece la presenza di effetti splatter è più ridotta e secondo me è stata una scelta discutibile visto la fonte originale... peccato.

Qualità Video
Il primo film ha un'ottima qualità video, anche nei momenti più bui! Sangue, espressioni e dettagli del mondo circostante sono interessanti e ben realizzati.
Il secondo invece, complici gli spezzoni in 3D di qualità non eccelsa, non convince appieno purtroppo... Il livello di dettaglio sembra molto "grezzo" e da la sensazione che il film sia stato fatto di fretta...

Qualità Audio
"Downfall" è stato rilasciato anche in italiano, ma non saprei dare un giudizio su quel doppiaggio.
Quello inglese però è molto buono, le voci sono ben abbinate e convincenti nella recitazione. Nulla di negativo da segnalare.
"Aftermath" invece presenta delle voci inglesi azzeccate ma la recitazione lascia un po a desiderare...
L'effettistica però mi è sembrata buona per entrambe le pellicole, anche se in "Downfall" è un po più dettagliata e "corposa", con i vari versi dei mostri, delle armi e delle musiche.

Conclusioni
Consiglio questi 2 film agli amanti degli horror/splatter con ambientazioni spaziali ma senza tante pretese ed ai fans del videogioco.
Il voto sarebbe più alto se il secondo film "Aftermath" fosse migliore, non solo dal punto di vista audio/video ma anche al livello di trama.

En étant fan de la franchise dead space , j’étais presque obliger de prendre les films !!!
le premier film dead space downfall est juste génial , grâce a ce film on comprend mieux ce qui ces passer sur la colonie et l'ichimura .
par contre le 2 émé film est complétement rater les image sont horrible et l'histoire n'apporte pas grand chose pour enrichir l'histoire principal d'Isacc clark

Confirmo que, de las dos peliculas, "Dead Space Perdición" (downfall) incluye doblaje español, mientras que Aftermath no incluye doblaje pero sí subtítulos en castellano. Teniendo en cuenta que Aftermath no fué distribuida en españa, no está nada mal.

En cuanto a las peliculas muy buena calidad de imagen aunque se echa en falta algomás de contenido extra, ya que apenas trae.

Its hard to recommend this to anyone who isn't a fan of the Deadspace games (extraction, one and two) like myself because the stories in each film can only really be appreciated if you know the games.

The stories in each are simple enough and tell interesting and well written stories about how the marker was found, and what happens to after Deadspace1.

(Note the picture is miss-leading. The case isn't a card-board box containing two slip-cases. The item actually comes in one slip-case which holds two discs inside. I was a bit suprised and pleased to find it wasn't as shown)

DeadSpace Downfall:

This one is a bit hard to place within continuity, because I assume it occurs at the same time as DeadSpace: Extraction (the on rails shooting game). But its hard to understand how the events of Extraction could fit around the events of Downfall because you would have expected the two stories to interact.

But this may be because Downfall was released before Extraction, and they didn't take it into account too well, but im unsure.

But in terms of story, it basically tells how the marker was found and finds it way onto the first ship in orbit and the events which lead up to the entire ship being over-run.

It does a great job of showing scenes and characters which we are introduced to in DeadSpace1 and fleshes their characters out more and helps explain why the ship was there and how it got into the state it in.

The animation is top notch and looks great in high definition.

DeadSpace Aftermath:

Personally, I found the story in Aftermath to be a lot better then Downfall, but unfortunately found the 3D animaton style used inbetween the different stories to be BAD.

They could have quite easily done the entire film in the same animation style, as hand drawn and it would have worked a lot better. The 3D animation is quite honestly shocking.

But in contrast... the hand drawn animation is beautiful for the most part.

The story here tells about what happens after DeadSpace1 ends, and how Issac ends up on the space station in DeadSpace2. I found the story to be much better here and alot more original.

If there is one issue with both these films, is that they don't do anything different. In essence, all the Deadspace games and these two films are based around the same thing.

A colony, ship or space station becomes infected somehow and people then have to survive. That works, but after 3 games and 2 films doing the same thing... it can grind.

But it works.

Watch these films, inbetween playing the games and you will get a lot more from it.

To watch them as stand alone films... without the games... you may find it harder to connect.

When I bought this, I didn't realize that the disc format wasn't compatible with my blu-ray player. As a result, I was only able to watch the first disc, while the second one wouldn't read.
